About us

The aim of the human rights foundation ReDo is to work against infringements, abuse and coercion in the mental health system and to strengthen the human rights of persons with psychosocial disabilities, in line with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).  Work is centered on documentation of human rights violations in the mental health system and support for strategic litigation.


Bylaws for the Human Rights Foundation ReDo

§ 2. Name
The foundation’s name is The Human Rights Foundation ReDo – centre for rights and documentation


§ 3. Purpose
The purpose of the foundation is to keep the memory of Bjørg Njaa`s son Ketil Njaa Solberg (15.09.1973-01.02.1999) alive, by:

  • Work against infringements, abuse and coercion against persons with psychosocial disabilities, with a particular focus on persons diagnosed with psychosis and schizophrenia.
  • Work to strengthen the human rights of persons with psychosocial disabilities.


The work shall be guided by the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and its overarching aim of preventing discrimination based on disability.

Work areas of interest can be (without being exclusive):

  • Establishing a documentation centre on abuse, infringements and coercion where Bjørg Njaa`s
    personal archive can be included
  • Support for litigation
